What's On...
Here is your weekly update from the Glamorgan Heritage Coast Ministry Area.

Mothering Sunday is a special day in the Christian calendar when we give thanks to God for the gift of mothers and all those who nurture, guide, and care for us. In the Anglican tradition, this day falls on the fourth Sunday of Lent and has its roots in the practice of returning to one’s “mother church” the main church or cathedral in the area for worship. Over time, it also became a day to honour our earthly mothers and the love they show in raising and supporting their families.
As Christians, we recognise that the love of a mother reflects the compassionate and faithful love that God shows to His people. Mothers often demonstrate patience, sacrifice, and unconditional care, reminding us of God’s nurturing presence in our lives. Mothering Sunday therefore becomes a moment to pause, give thanks, and pray for all mothers, grandmothers, carers, and those who have been like mothers to us.
On this day, we celebrate the blessing of family, remember those mothers who are no longer with us, and ask God to strengthen and comfort all who give their lives in loving service to others.
Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers and those who care with a mother’s heart. May God bless you with joy, peace, and love today and always. 🌸💐
